Artist’s Statement My journey into the glass world began 20 years ago when I was introduced to stained glass, within a short period of time I was working with a building contractor creating art glass windows using my own design and incorporating fused glass designs into windows. I furthered my education through college, glass schools and various workshops developing my own style. The passion and curiosity I have for glass art is what enables me to excel and blend diverse applications with the technical ability creating unique pieces of art including functional use items for the home. Glass is simply my canvas there are many more applications just waiting to be developed. My studio “Sokoloff Glass Studio, llc” offers several types of art forms from functional to sculptural. My series of dinnerware and goblets are both durable and often dishwasher safe. Contemporary designs fashion my jewelry with no two alike to decorative cabinet pulls & knobs a perfect addition for any home décor or office. The wall sconces light up the evenings and are a sculptural piece during the day. Commissions are welcomed the latest commissioned piece I worked on was a 25” x 13” window without the traditional lead lines. With a creative mind and skill almost anything is possible.
